K7VPN Getting Started
Follow the steps below to go from account creation to a verified connection. If you already have an account or subscription, skip to the relevant section. If this is your first time, follow the steps in order: confirm your plan is active before setting up the client.
Create an Account and Open the User Panel
Open the “Free Trial” link below to go to the K7VPN account creation page. Create an account with a username and password; no email address is required. Choose a username you can recognize and a unique password you don’t use on other sites. Before submitting, check your entries for leading or trailing spaces and unintended characters.
Once you’re done, follow the on-screen instructions to open the panel. If you already have an account, use the sign-in option instead; there’s no need to create another one. Creating an account and placing an order are separate steps. Check the account overview in your panel to see whether you have an active plan—being signed in doesn’t mean your service is active.
Save your username and password in a trusted password manager, and keep a note of the site address. Then check the plan and data details in your account overview. If you haven’t chosen a plan yet, continue to the next step. If you need help signing in, tell support which page you were on and what message appeared. Never include your password in a screenshot or support ticket.
Choose a Plan and Check Your Order Status
Open the plans section in your user panel. Compare monthly subscriptions with data packages, then choose based on how much you expect to use. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly from the activation date. If you use the service regularly, compare the monthly plans first. You can connect unlimited devices at the same time, but data isn’t unlimited—keep an eye on the remaining balance shown in your account.
If a pay-as-you-go option suits you better, consider a data package: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data is available until used and never expires. Monthly data reset rules don’t apply to data packages. If you have an active monthly subscription and want to upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the panel for the final order details. For a full comparison, see Plans and Data Packages. This guide covers only what you need to get started.
Before paying, check the plan name, price, and data allowance on your order, then choose Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT and follow the prompts. Keep the order page open while payment is processing; don’t place another order just because the page hasn’t updated yet. After paying, return to the panel to check the order status and confirm the plan appears in your account overview. A payment confirmation from an external page doesn’t replace the activation status shown in the panel.
K7VPN offers a 30-day refund policy. See the Terms of Service for the application rules. If you’ve paid but the panel hasn’t confirmed your order, refresh the order status and check your payment record, then contact support through a ticket in the panel. Once your plan is active, continue to the subscription step; you don’t need to look for another activation link on this guide page.
Get Your Subscription from the Account Overview
Open the account overview in your user panel and check your plan status and remaining data, then look for the subscription or client import section. A subscription provides the client with server configurations for your account. It isn’t a regular website bookmark or an installer. Install the client and import the subscription separately: installing the software alone won’t add servers to your account.
If the panel offers an import option for your client, try it first and allow your browser to open the app when prompted. If the system can’t find an app, install the client as described in the next section, then return to the panel and try again. To import manually, copy the subscription link, then paste it into the client’s “Import from URL” option or its equivalent. Don’t paste it into a server search box or a field for a single server address.
When pasting a link manually, make sure it’s complete, with no line breaks, missing characters at the beginning, or extra text. You don’t need to open the subscription link in a regular browser to check whether it works; what the browser displays doesn’t tell you whether the client can read it correctly. After importing, check that the client can refresh and show the server list.
Your subscription link is an account credential, so protect it like a password. Don’t share it in public group chats, forums, or shared documents. If you report an issue, hide the full link and any credentials it contains. To use another device, sign in to the panel on that device and get the link there, rather than keeping it somewhere publicly accessible. Next, install a client for your system and import the subscription using the instructions below.
Import a Client for Your Platform
First, sign in to your user panel, open the downloads section, and choose the client for your device. After signing in, you can download clients for Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux without purchasing a plan. To use the client with an active server, you’ll also need to check your account and subscription status. For iOS access requirements and instructions, refer to the panel. Direct download links aren’t provided here so that downloads stay consistent with the panel’s instructions.
In this guide, a client is a network connection app that can read subscription profiles and manage servers—not a browser extension or a video streaming app. If the client lets you sign in to your K7VPN account and sync settings automatically, follow the panel’s instructions. Use the subscription link copied in the previous step only if you need to import it manually.
Windows: Import Your Configuration Before Connecting
Download the Windows client from the panel’s downloads section, install it as instructed, and open it. On first launch, find the Configuration, Subscription, or similar settings page. If the home screen only shows a Connect button, look for an import option in the sidebar or menu. Choose Import from URL, paste the full subscription link, confirm, and refresh the configuration. Wait for the server list to appear.
Make sure the configuration has loaded, then return to the server list and choose a server. If the client offers a system proxy or system-wide routing option, enable the mode specified in the panel’s instructions. Selecting a server without connecting may leave your browser traffic on its original network. If the system asks for permission, verify the app’s source before approving. Then continue to the connection test below; there’s no need to change other advanced settings.
macOS: Check Your Configuration and System Permissions
Get the macOS client from the panel, follow the installation instructions, move it to Applications, and launch it. Add the subscription link in the client’s subscription or configuration settings, save it, and refresh the configuration. If the panel offers a way to open the client and import the link, confirm that the browser is opening the client you just installed. If the app doesn’t open, paste the link manually instead.
If macOS asks you to approve a network configuration or related permissions, follow the client’s instructions rather than dismissing the prompt and assuming the connection has failed. Check that the selected configuration is the subscription you just imported, choose a server from the list, and connect. If the menu bar icon and the main window show different statuses, reopen the main window to confirm the connection state. Then test access to the service you want to use.
Android: Allow the VPN Connection
Sign in to the panel and get the Android client, then install it as prompted. Open the app and choose Import from URL or a similar option under Configuration, Subscription, or Add. Paste the subscription link, save it, and refresh the server list. If the list is still empty, check that the refresh completed and that you imported the full link from the panel. Don’t start by repeatedly uninstalling the app.
Choose a server and connect. Android may show a system prompt asking you to approve the VPN connection; check the app and allow it. A connection icon in the status bar only confirms that a network connection is active. Open the service you want to use to check that it works. If the connection drops when you switch apps, check your system’s background activity and battery settings for the client. Refer to your device’s documentation for adjustment instructions.
iOS: Get the Client and Add a Configuration as Instructed in the Panel
First, check the iOS instructions in the panel’s downloads section. Access to the iOS client depends on the plan requirements shown there; unlike other platforms, signing in alone may not be enough. Make sure your account has an active, unexpired plan. Get the client through the App Store link provided in the panel, then return to the panel for the correct subscription import instructions.
If the panel can open the client directly, follow the system prompts and confirm the import. Otherwise, find the Subscription, Configuration, or Add from URL option in the client, paste the link, and refresh. When connecting, iOS will ask to add a VPN configuration. Follow the prompt to approve it, then return to the client and check the connection status. Adding a configuration isn’t the final step: choose a server, connect, and test that the service you need is accessible.
Linux users can also find platform-specific instructions in the panel’s downloads section. On every platform, use the client and setup instructions provided in the panel. Don’t assume an import format for one platform will work on another. After importing, continue to the connection test below. For help with configuration formats or connection modes, see the Help Center.
Connect to a Server and Test Access
Return to the client’s main screen and confirm that the selected configuration comes from your account subscription and that the server list refreshes correctly. Choose a server based on where you’re connecting from and what you want to access. If you’re outside China and need to access services in mainland China, check the panel’s instructions for routes to mainland China. For services in other regions, choose a server that suits your destination. A region label, server type, and compatibility with a particular platform are different things; a server name alone can’t guarantee access to every service.
After connecting, wait for the client to show a connected status, then reopen the website or app you want to use. Close any tab that’s still showing an error and try loading the site again. If an app keeps its old state, quit and reopen it. Check that pages load, your account signs in, and the content you need plays or works. Don’t rely on the connection icon alone.
To help check your exit IP, visit the IP Lookup page. With rule-based routing, different websites may use different routes, so the IP shown may not represent traffic from every app. Use it as a troubleshooting reference; what matters is whether the service you want to use works. A platform’s account region, content licensing, or payment requirements may also affect access.
If access hasn’t improved, check these in order: your plan is active, data is available, the subscription has refreshed successfully, the right server is selected, and the system has allowed the client to connect. Then try another server suited to your destination and reopen the service. Change one setting at a time and keep track of the original settings so you can identify what helped. If you’re new to the client, avoid changing the protocol, routing rules, and system-wide networking settings all at once.
If you still need help, search the Help Center by account, connection, speed, or billing topic. To submit a ticket, use the support ticket section in your user panel. Include your device’s operating system, client name, selected server, the full error message, and the steps you’ve already tried. Hide your password and subscription details in screenshots. For more on streaming region checks and choosing a server, read The Complete Guide to Streaming Access. You don’t need to work through these advanced settings before your basic connection is working.
